Who am I to bring together a new family in the ACoA community? I have asked myself this many times because I am still fresh in my journey of healing. I just came out of my denial that alcoholism has had an impact on me a year and a half ago. Yet, I know I can spread the message that there is hope. I choose to share and put my story out there. I choose to present my gifts to those who choose me to be part of their family.
Adult Children of Alcoholics are my people and I want to have your back to create a better life alongside you. It’s been a long road of feeling slightly different than everyone else and it will be nice to be surrounded with people who get it! Our voices carry the power to rewrite our family history. Join me in taking the responsibility of breaking the cycle, in honor of our family members that couldn’t see the light. My belief is that we are a population that has immense potential to transform humanity if given the space and community to heal.
The present moment is what we have been gifted. Receive and spend the gift of life. Together, we heal humanity.
